Canadian-born, NYC-based, JUNO-nominated drummer Curtis Nowosad leads a dynamic quartet featuring some of the most exciting musicians on the New York scene (Marc Cary, Braxton Cook, Michael Mayo, Matthew Whitaker, and others). Performing both instrumentally and with guest vocalist Brianna Thomas, the group performs a mix of swing and groove-based jazz with strong melodies and group interplay. The songs contain an activist-oriented edge that paint a picture of a brighter future for all people; this is music with a purpose.
